Submission of manuscripts

We are accepting manuscripts on a rolling basis on media studies, including but not limited to media law and policy, media history, journalism and political communication at .

Manuscripts are peer-reviewed using a double-blind system. Authors are requested to submit two copies of their manuscripts: one complete copy and one anonymized copy from which any information that could compromise the anonymity of the author(s) was removed, including the author(s)' names, contact details, acknowledgements, or first-person bibliographical references.

Before submitting your manuscript, please consult the journal's Aims and Aspirations, Ethical Standards and the Guildelines to Authors below.

Guildelines to Authors

The following information should be included at the beginning of the manuscript:

The manuscript length should ideally be 5000-6000 words. Exceeding this will only be accepted in justified cases.

Please run a language check on your paper.

We also publish shorter manuscripts of 3000-4000 words, under the headings of "Essay", "Report" or "Methodology", if they report on an important new feature or new idea.

We regularly publish book reviews of 800-1400 words.

Studies based on non-representative quantitative research (e.g. self-completion) will be accepted only in exceptional cases, when the target population cannot be researched in any other way.

Please submit your manuscript following the Médiakutató [Media Researcher] style guide.

Style Guide

Figures: If the text includes illustrations, tables or figures, please format them as follows: different shades of grey should be clearly distinguishable to match the black and white appearance. Please export the original illustrations in pdf format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

Font: 11 point Georgia (9 point in footnotes)
